What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Arriving outside those hours? Tell us in advance — we usually find a way. -
Is breakfast included?
Yes — every morning we serve a small Friulian breakfast on the terrace (or indoors if the weather is unkind): village bread, jams from our garden, local cheeses and salumi, fruit, espresso, and tea. -
Do you have air conditioning?
No — and on purpose. The valley breeze and thick stone walls keep the rooms naturally cool. Each room has a quiet ceiling fan and shutters; in our experience, that's enough even in August. -
Is parking available?
Free public parking is a 3-minute walk away (Piazzale della Resistenza). The historic center is a restricted-traffic zone — write us before arrival and we will send the exact directions and a permit code if needed. -
How do we get there from the airport?
From Trieste (TRS, ~60 km): direct shuttle to Udine, then regional train to Cividale (~17 minutes). From Venice (VCE, ~130 km): regional trains via Udine, ~3 hours. We can also arrange a private transfer on request. -
Are children welcome?
Children over 6 are very welcome. Younger guests are best suited to the Lombard Suite, which has space for an extra bed (€30/night, on request). -
Do you allow pets?
Small, well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (€15/night). Please tell us when you book. -
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival. Within 14 days, we charge the first night. Within 48 hours, the full stay. We are flexible in genuine emergencies — just write to us. -
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes — Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Payment is on arrival. We also accept bank transfer in advance if you prefer. -
Is the WiFi reliable?
Yes — fiber, fast enough for video calls. We're an old stone house, but the router doesn't care. -
Can you help us plan day trips?
Gladly. We hand out our own annotated map of Cividale at check-in and are happy to suggest routes through the Colli Orientali wineries, the Natisone valleys, or across to Slovenia (a 20-minute drive). -
Do you speak our language?
We speak Italian, English, Czech, and Slovak. Guests in other languages are very welcome — we will manage with goodwill and gestures.
